Prince of Pizza - Bergen Avenue at Montgomery St.

Located in the "heart" of McGinley Square, Prince of Pizza has been servicing residents, students, former hospital employees, and passer-bys for many years. Ordering a pie from them is a little different than grabbing a quick slice.

From many experiences since I started going to Prince of Pizza in 1996, I can say that they truly are a hit or miss joint. For the most part, the slices are good. The crust is a little thicker and more doughy than crispy at times. Then, there are times when you get a thinner and crispier crust. There are also times when you get a warm slice and they try to convince you "it just came out." The day I decided to stop in and sneak a review was one of those days. The slice looks pretty dead. It tasted good by all means, but it wasn't that hot, and the cheese had already settled.

The slices seem to be better in the lunch time hours when the Hudson Catholic and St. Peter's College students are moving the pies or at night when commuters are coming home from work.
